उत्तर प्रदेश के हमीरपुर जनपद के राठ कस्बे में एक दर्दनाक घटना सामने आई है। सिकंदरपुरा मोहल्ला निवासी 37 वर्षीय दिनेश कुमार सोनी, जो कोटबाजार में सराफा व्यापारी थे, ने भारी कर्ज से परेशान होकर जहरीला पदार्थ खा लिया। इलाज के लिए ले जाते समय रास्ते में उनकी मौत हो गई।

परिजनों के अनुसार, दिनेश कुमार को शौक़ीन जिंदगी जीने की आदत थी। शराब की लत और कभी-कभार जुए की आदत ने उन्हें धीरे-धीरे कर्ज में डुबो दिया।
- उन्होंने अपने हिस्से की 4 बीघा जमीन भी बेच दी थी।
- करीब डेढ़ साल पहले दुकान बंद कर दी थी।
- ग्राहकों के जेवरात भी अपने खर्चों में खर्च कर दिए थे।
इसके बावजूद भी कर्ज का बोझ कम नहीं हुआ। आखिरकार, जब स्थिति पूरी तरह से हाथ से निकल गई, तो उन्होंने आत्महत्या का रास्ता चुन लिया।
फेरी लगाकर भी नहीं मिली राहत
मनोज कुमार, जो दिनेश के बड़े भाई हैं, ने बताया कि पिछले 5 महीने दिनेश उरई में फेरी लगाकर आभूषण बेच रहे थे। लेकिन वहां भी उनका मन नहीं लगा।
- दो महीने पहले वे वापस घर आ गए थे।
- उस समय तक उनका कर्ज 40 लाख से अधिक हो चुका था।

पीछे छूट गया बेसहारा परिवार
इस दुखद घटना के बाद दिनेश कुमार अपने पीछे पत्नी प्रीति, 16 वर्षीय बेटा रामजी और 14 वर्षीय बेटी राशि को बेसहारा छोड़ गए हैं।
उनकी आत्महत्या ने यह सवाल खड़ा कर दिया है कि आखिर छोटे व्यवसायियों के लिए आर्थिक सुरक्षा कब सुनिश्चित की जाएगी?
