मुंबई के ठहाका क्लब के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग करने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने कहा है कि किसी व्यक्ति के घर के बाहर एकत्र होना और जोर-जोर से ठहाका लगाना उचित नहीं है।
एक परिवार की ओर से दायर याचिका में आरोप लगाया गया है कि शीतल जॉगिंग एसोसिएशन नाम के ठहाका क्लब के सदस्य उपनगरीय कुर्ला में शीतल तलाव में एकत्र हुए और जोर-जोर से ठहाका लगाया, जिससे मानसिक व्यथा, दर्द और सार्वजनिक बाधा पैदा हुई।
न्यायमूर्ति एसए बोबाडे और न्यायमूर्ति मृदुला भाटकर की पीठ ने मंगलवार को पुलिस से एक हफ्ते के भीतर सूचित करने को कहा कि ठहाका क्लब पर इलाके के लोगों के लिए परेशानी बनने से रोकने के लिए क्या कार्रवाई करने की योजना है। पिछली सुनवाई के दौरान अदालत ने विनोबा भावे नगर थाने के वरिष्ठ निरीक्षक को निर्देश दिया था कि वह इस बात को सुनिश्चित करें कि क्लब द्वारा इस तरह की कोई परेशानी नहीं पैदा हो।
