भारत-चीन सीमा तनाव: क्या आईपीएल से वीवो का रिश्ता टूट जाएगा?
भारत और चीन के बीच चल रहे सीमा विवाद की आँच अब भारतीय खेलों तक पहुँचने लगी है. यह विवाद इतना गरमा गया है कि भारत में कई जगह चीन निर्मित सामान के बहिष्कार की अपील की जा रही है.
इस अपील के बीच कुछ लोग ये भी मांग कर रहे हैं कि दुनिया का सबसे सबसे अमीर क्रिकेट बोर्ड भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड यानी बीसीसीआई भी चीन की कंपनियों के साथ करार तोड़ दे. दुनिया का सबसे लोकप्रिय टी-20 टूर्नामेंट आईपीएल का टाइटिल स्पॉन्सर वीवो है, जो चीन की कंपनी है.
लेकिन क्या चीन की कंपनियों के साथ अनुबंध तोड़ना इतना आसान है? बीसीसीआई के साथ वीवो का पाँच साल तक का क़रार है, जो साल 2022 में समाप्त होगा. वीवो मोबाइल कंपनी से बीसीसीआई को सालाना लगभग 440 करोड़ रुपए मिलते हैं. आईपीएल 2020 का आयोजन 29 मार्च से होना था जो कोविड-19 के कारण नहीं हो सका है.
इससे पहले साल 2008 से 2012 तक आईपीएल का टाइटल स्पॉन्सर डीएलएफ़ था, जो बीसीसीआई को सालाना 40 करोड़ रुपए देता था.
इसके बाद साल 2013 से 2015 तक पेप्सी आईपीएल का टाइटल स्पॉन्सर बना. पेप्सी से बीसीसीआई को सालाना 79.2 करोड़ रुपए मिलते थे.
