मुख्यमंत्री सामूहिक विवाह योजना के तहत हुआ आयोजन
शादी समारोह का आयोजन भवंस मेहता महाविद्यालय, भरवारी परिसर में किया गया था, जहां कुल 321 जोड़ों ने शादी के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाया था। इनमें से 300 शादियां संपन्न कराई गईं, जिनमें 4 जोड़ें अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय से थे।
इस योजना के तहत नव विवाहित जोड़ों को उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित उपहार व दहेज का सामान भी प्रदान किया गया।

जितेंद्र पटेल, जो मूल रूप से प्रतापगढ़ जिले का रहने वाला है, वर्तमान में मुंबई में अपने बड़े भाई के साथ फल विक्रय का कार्य करता है। अपनी शादी के लिए जितेंद्र मुंबई से फ्लाइट लेकर लखनऊ पहुंचा और वहां से सीधे कौशांबी आया।
दूल्हे के बड़े भाई राजेंद्र पटेल ने बताया कि, “हम दोनों भाई मुंबई में काम करते हैं। एक दिन गांव में एक डलिया बेचने वाला आया और उसी दौरान एक छोटे कद की लड़की की जानकारी दी, जिससे हमारी बात आगे बढ़ी।”
