छोटे कस्बों से लेकर महानगरों तक इन दिनों एलपीजी गैस सिलेंडर के लिए लंबी-लंबी लाइनें देखने को मिल रही हैं। कई जगहों पर उपभोक्ताओं को घंटों इंतजार करना पड़ रहा है। इसी बीच सरकार ने कॉमर्शियल सिलेंडरों की बिक्री पर रोक लगाने का फैसला किया है और पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों पर आवश्यक वस्तु अधिनियम को प्रभावी ढंग से लागू कर दिया गया है।
सरकार का दावा है कि देश में कुकिंग गैस की कोई कमी नहीं है। लेकिन ज़मीनी हालात कुछ और ही कहानी बयां कर रहे हैं। सवाल उठता है कि अगर गैस की कोई किल्लत नहीं है तो फिर कॉमर्शियल सिलेंडर पर रोक लगाने की जरूरत क्यों पड़ी।
