HMPV Virus in India : भारत में ह्यूमन मेटान्यूमोवायरस (एचएमपीवी) का पहला मामला बेंगलुरु में सामने आया है। आठ महीने का एक बच्चा इस वायरस से संक्रमित पाया गया। जिसके बाद बेंगलुरु और गुजरात में शिशुओं में दो और मामले पाए गए हैं।
चीन में बढ़ते मामलों के बीच, यह भारत में पहला मामला है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, बच्चे का टेस्ट पॉजिटिव आने के बावजूद उसकी कोई ट्रैवल हिस्ट्री नहीं है. मामले की पुष्टि कर्नाटक स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने की है और कथित तौर पर केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय को इसकी जानकारी दी गई है। हालांकि, रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, यह स्पष्ट नहीं है कि क्या यह एचएमपीवी वायरस का वही वंश है जिसने चीन में कहर बरपाया था।
केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने पहले कहा था कि भारत उचित निगरानी तंत्र के साथ श्वसन संबंधी बीमारियों के प्रबंधन के लिए पूरी तरह से तैयार है। उन्होंने यह भी संकेत दिया कि अब तक मामलों में कोई असामान्य वृद्धि नहीं हुई है। दूसरी ओर, सभी उपलब्ध चौनलों के माध्यम से चीन की स्थिति पर बारीकी से नजर रखी जा रही है और केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्ल्यूएचओ) से भी इस संबंध में समय पर अपडेट साझा करने का अनुरोध किया है।

ह्यूमन मेटान्यूमोवायरस (एचएमपीवी) एक प्रकार का श्वसन वायरस है जो फ्लू के लक्षणों के समान होता है। ग्लेनीगल्स अस्पताल, परेल के पल्मोनोलॉजी और फेफड़े के प्रत्यारोपण विभाग के निदेशक डॉ. समीर गार्डे ने चेतावनी दी है कि बच्चों और बुजुर्गों सहित कमजोर प्रतिरक्षा वाले व्यक्तियों को वायरस का खतरा अधिक है। एचएमपीवी आमतौर पर संक्रमित व्यक्ति के खांसने, छींकने या किसी चीज को छूने से होता है।

एचएमपीवी वायरस के लक्षणों में शामिल हो सकते हैं –
बुखार
लगातार खांसी आना
बहती नाक
गला खराब होना
सांस लेने में कठिनाई
घरघराहट
थकान।
एचएमपीवी वायरस से सुरक्षित रहने के लिए उपाय
डॉ. गार्डे कहते हैं, चूंकि भारत में एक मामले का पता चला है, इसलिए लोगों को सतर्क रहना चाहिए। वह बार-बार हाथ धोकर उचित स्वच्छता बनाए रखने, भीड़-भाड़ वाली जगहों पर मास्क पहनने और बीमार या संक्रमित लोगों से दूरी बनाए रखने जैसे सुरक्षा उपायों का पालन करने की सलाह देते हैं।
