ग्रेटर नोएडा। मासूम से डिजिटल रेप केस में आठ साल की लंबी कानूनी लड़ाई के बाद आखिरकार न्याय मिला। विशेष POCSO कोर्ट ने 2018 में 3 साल की मासूम से डिजिटल रेप करने वाले स्कूल के पूर्व लाइफगार्ड को “अपने प्राकृतिक जीवन के अंतिम दिन तक” जेल में रहने की सजा सुनाई है। घटना स्कूल कैंपस के स्विमिंग पूल में स्विमिंग क्लास के दौरान हुई थी।
क्या है मामला?
2018 में एक निजी स्कूल की नर्सरी छात्रा स्विमिंग क्लास के लिए पूल में थी। वहां मौजूद पूर्व लाइफगार्ड ने बच्ची के साथ डिजिटल रेप किया। कानून में “डिजिटल” का मतलब यहां कंप्यूटर नहीं बल्कि digit यानी उंगली से है। इस अपराध को POCSO Act Section 5 के तहत गंभीर अपराध माना गया है।

Greater Noida Digital Rape Case में कोर्ट का फैसला
- आरोपी को जीवन के अंतिम दिन तक जेल में रहने की सजा।
- स्कूल प्रबंधन पर ₹10 लाख का जुर्माना, जो पीड़िता के परिवार को दिया जाएगा।
- जांच में लापरवाही बरतने वाले दो पुलिस अधिकारियों — सीता सिंह और रश्मि चौधरी — के खिलाफ POCSO Act Section 17 के तहत मुकदमा चलाने के आदेश।
डिजिटल रेप क्या है?
डिजिटल रेप में उंगली या किसी वस्तु से बिना सहमति के यौन हमला किया जाता है। यह भी रेप की श्रेणी में आता है और POCSO Act Section 6 के तहत उम्रकैद या मृत्युदंड तक की सजा हो सकती है।
